Thinks iTunes unlimited subscriptions but cheaper. Think iTunes unlimited playlists but smarter with Alexa. Don’t know who Alexa is? Think Siri, Amazon-style. It’s quite hilarious that Amazon has it’s own version of “Apple” things, but they make it so accessible and easy with one-click access that it’s so hard to say “No”.
Haven’t seen the Amazon Music launch video yet? Watch it here.
AdNews reported this week Amazon hunts 230 staff Down Under and “is gearing up to launch Amazon Music in Australia.”
What is Amazon Music?
In January this year, a US survey shared a comparison: Spotify vs Apple Music vs Amazon Music Unlimited: Which is Best?
Not to be confused with Amazon Music (formerly Amazon MP3), Amazon Music Unlimited is a music streaming service that offers “tens of millions” of songs with new releases from today’s most popular artists. Like other premium music streaming services on the market, Amazon Music Unlimited allows you to listen to your favorite songs on-demand. You can also download your songs to your devices for offline use.
Read here to get the low-down on which one is best. Personally, I can’t wait until Aussie Alexa hits Australian shores.
Get Ready Australia – Amazon is coming.
With Amazon Prime Video officially launching here in December 2016, you can see how they are softening the Australian market and getting the consumers #AmazonReady with subscription products for music and video that Australians already love. Prime Video was quite a frustrating event for many, including myself, when you couldn’t see what was allowed to be watched in Australia and had no geographic restrictions. In time, I know this will open up – but one thing was for sure – for all the Australians that had a go over the past six months, Amazon became sure – Australian consumers are ready.
If you are consumer, you should be excited! If you are a consumer, as well as a retailer or a business advisor to product selling clients, you need to get informed. You need to prepare. It’s time to get #AmazonReady.
Until next time, remember:
Life is Better in the Cloud.
